Another quick visit didn't disappoint. With no planned agenda it was a pleasure to just casually fit into school life. BUT I then began to think about the bikes we had sent over several years earlier and how they couldn't be used due to the sandy ground. So as the builder was there I asked if he could dig out and concrete a small track for the children to ride those bikes. Yes he could so he set to work and within 2 days the track was complete. I then of course had to buy some plants to place around the edge to clearly mark this out from the rest of the playground. It was fabulous to see the children race around the track and as always working hard in class, the younger nursery children playing and the older lower basic children reading, writing and learning mathematics.

We enjoyed some delicious watermelon at break time too.

Whilst there I helped the teachers access educational resources on the laptop I had taken for them on a previous visit and planned a Storysack workshop with nursery teachers I had previously run a two week training course for. This was a great day with lots of laughs and tons of creativity.

I hope you enjoy the photos of my visit. I certainly enjoyed being there to take these

On my way to school I passed several young men weaving cloth. Fascinating to watch such skill using homemade equipment. Very talented

A special thankyou to one of our child sponsors Anne who kindly donated funds for us to be able to purchase large whiteboards for every classroom. The teachers are so very grateful. Thankyou Anne
